Gov. J.B. Pritzker Shares Congratulations for Taylor Electric at Recent Centennial Celebration
February 24, 2026

At a recent event to celebrate Taylor Electric Company’s 100 years in business, Gov. J.B. Pritzker commended the company for its accomplishment.
“Through hard work and dedication, Taylor Electric has grown from a two-man shop to a multimillion dollar company with a seasonal crew of up to 100 employees,” said Gov. Pritzker through a pre-recorded message. “Today with Kendra Dinkins, Sam Taylor’s great-granddaughter at the helm, Taylor Electric is an unprecedented fourth-generation of family-owned leadership.”
Current company president and co-owner, alongside Karen Michele Dinkins, Kendra Dinkins also spoke at the event— thanking employees for their contributions to the company’s success.
“My main job is to sell the work that we do,” said Kendra Dinkins. “The employees are the ones that make my job so easy, they’re the reason we made it to 100 [years]… I’d like to thank them and wish them the best as they move forward to make it 200 years.”
With Taylor Electric’s skilled team of electricians, steadfast focus on trust and giving back to the community, Gov. Pritzker’s parting message was spot-on.
“Congratulations on all of your success. The best is yet to come.”
