Powering Chicago Honors Veterans in the Unionized Electrical Industry

The unionized electrical industry has a long history of support for those who have sacrificed on behalf of our country through military service, more than a few of whom have found lifelong careers in the industry after their time in uniform has come to an end. In recognition of Veterans Day this year, and to celebrate all those who have both served our country and contributed to better construction in the City of Chicago and suburban Cook County, we profiled Frank Cunningham, Joseph Wells and Dave Runnells.

Joseph Wells

Inspired by his father’s service in World War II, Dave Runnells followed in his footsteps as a Naval Officer during the Vietnam War. In the years after his discharge, he pursued a career in business that led him in 1998 to become the co-owner of Videotec, a low-voltage security systems integrator. His story is highlighted here.
