Powering Progress Through Partnership
Powering Chicago is a collaborative partnership between IBEW Local 134 and the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) of Chicago and Cook County. Together, we are committed to enhancing construction quality, fostering rewarding careers, and building thriving communities throughout Chicago and Cook County.
Our Mission
We strive to foster synergy between labor and management by setting the benchmark for safety, reliability, and training in the electrical industry. We proudly support over 600 union electrical contractors and 12,000 IBEW 134 electricians, who ensure high-quality, timely, and cost-effective electrical service.
Our Vision
Our goals include educating decision-makers about the advantages of selecting Powering Chicago contractors, raising awareness of state-of-the-art technology and expert knowledge behind our work, and expanding market opportunities. We aim to grow a diverse and skilled membership base while attracting aspiring electricians to our apprenticeship programs.
